Hey guys and girls, sorry it’s been a while since I updated this! I’ve been stuck in a rut of just reblogging and liking stuff all the time, rather than uploading some of my own work. These are some print ideas I produced today on Photoshop, for my project on “Close Ups”. Not too sure if you can tell or not but the designs feature a human heart, a brain and an abstract looking face (if you can’t tell what they are then I have succeeded!)

Due to the theme being pretty unusual I have decided to look at menswear for this project, something that I have never done before! My colour palette is pretty muted, with hues of blue, green and grey. Tomorrow I have a workshop on fabric manipulation which should be pretty good, but first I need to do some research on whether there are any techniques that can be used on menswear.

As always opinions and feedback are muchly appreciated! :)

An ink overlay on a photocopy of the mannequin collage.

I’m very aware that the proportions may not be up to scratch and the mouth is fucked, but I like where this is going.

These are my giant knitting needles for my FMP. (So you can get some idea about size, here they are stood next to a bookcase.) 

I tried knitting with them today, and they’re quite easy to use which is a bonus! :D

I’m tempted to whack these bad boys out again and knit a basic vest using shredded white cotton instead of wool/yarn. Then dip dye them. Then wear it EVERYWHERE.
